As anyone who’s been reading this blog for any period of time knows, the course of my life was radically changed when a pastor found my gift and showed me how to use my gift of art to serve the Lord.
Well I am trying to help churches to do the same thing with my new presentation The Creative Church Workshop. It’s a day-long workshop to help church leaders to minister to the creatives in their congregations and to empower them to use their gifts to serve the Lord. It’s also going to be a great day to empower the creatives themselves (of all disciplines) as we explore ways they can use those gifts in the church and the world beyond.
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It includes teaching, hands on activities and more. Topics we will explore include:
Creativity in worship, teaching and outreach
Ministering to creatives
Making your church a nurturing environment and a safe place to fail
Creative ideas you can put to work in your church
The workshop is presented by Dave Weiss. He is an artist, author, creativity blogger, ordained minister and communicator. He is passionate about spreading the Gospel and building the body of Christ by helping churches unleash the God given gifts of their congregations. He currently serves as pastor of creative arts at Ephrata Church of the Brethren.

Will you offer CEU’s? That is a good way to get pastors to come.
I don’t know that this qualifies.
Thanks
Dave
Hi, David. My husband and I go back to Pa. from late spring through part of the summer before returning home to Kansas each year. Will you be having any programs between Lebanon-Harrisburg-Gettysburg areas during that time? We would like to see one of them, if possible.
Hi Jeanne,
Not sure how you define Late Spring, but the Creative Church Workshop will be in Ephrata which is not far from Lebanon and Lancaster on May 3. Also watch the side of the main page here for my full Schedule. I live pretty close to that area and get there frequently. I will also be near Lebanon on April 4 and doing a short presentation April 2 in Chambersburg, which is not far from Gettysburg. For that matter, I’d also love to come to Kansas. I’ve never been there and I have a goal of ministering in every state. (14 so far)
God bless,
Dave
